animate mask

Hi,

I need to animate a mask in Edge Animate so that, when moved, the mask reveals other areas of the image it is masking.

Is this possible? It seems like it is or should be, but I haven't yet figured out how to create an animated mask in Edge Animate (that is independent of the image). If it is possible, can you please explain how this can be done?
