Hello. I’ve got a small question and hope someone has real insights in this.
I’ve been asked if it was possible to insert a Google Analytics code directly in the edge_actions.js file, so it would be used and played while the banner is loaded.
This company doesn’t get (any) feedback from subsidiaries and cannot build a classical tracking campaign, with clicks associated with data from the user view’s website.
So they’re looking for a way to get these information by themselves, thinking of a call to the GA js code while viewing the animate’s ad div.
My question here is : is this even possible ? where would you put that (creation complete ? composition ready ?) ? Would that be bad with GA if there’s another code triggered on the same page (so far, they have no idea where the animate’s div are gonna go) ?
Thanks for the feedback.
Franck
PS : i've read this thread http://forums.adobe.com/message/5071485 and Sarah's excellent post http://blogs.adobe.com/edge/2012/06/29/would-you-like-some-statistics- with-that/ but i wanted to validate maybe with user cases.
