Make a PNG element become solid black?

Hello,

I imported an PNG element into Edge Animated (cutout with transparent background) that I would like to make it become solid black cutout over time. However, the Filters don't have the option and I don't see anywhere a direct method to do so.

I am wondering if there is a CSS code I can use, or a method you might know of?
