overflow hidden is not working properly

I am publishing my animation In Edge Animate, and then using the <div> from my published x_animate.html file in my HTML5 site page. The animations themselves are working fine - but they overflow the <div> and elements are shown outside of the <div> borders. This happens even when I set the CSS property "overflow: hidden", which should prevent this. Please advise.
