Map on click to touchstart to remove 300ms delay?

Hi all, I'm trying to find an elegant global way to map all my click handlers to touchstart or touchend to remove the 300ms delay for touch devices (iPad's etc)? And also to remove the need for having to add extra touch handlers to all my click events (I wish there were a simple check box that could do this built natively into the app).

I've tried several external libraries to do this but they don't handle Edge's click javascript events.
