How can I tell a mouse over triggered animation to finish before the next mouse over triggered animation starts?

I have a project with multiple mouse over hotspots.  Each hotspot triggers a different animation. The animations work as expected, but I would like to be able to control them so that if the user triggers one animation while another is in progress, the in-progress animation finishes before the next begins. Does anyone have a simple solution for this?
