How can I send text from Edge Animate to a Microsoft ASP.NET Form?

I've found a few PHP form examples on the forums, but what about .NET? I would like to collect all of the user's information (I've got that much done) and would like to then send an email by clicking a button. I can write the ASP.NET for the page that the Edge Animate project is on, but need a button to do an onClick like the following:

<asp:Button ID="btnSubmit" runat="server" Text="Submit" OnClick="btnSubmit_Click" />

Ideally this would be seamless, and not send the information via a query string in the url or anything.
