Within Edge can I expand an image from the center out?

Ok. I have this blurred image placed in Edge and I want it to stretch it across the screen.

Got it. Very easy. However, it expands or stretches from the left or right and not from the center outward.

I want the image to animate as indicated by these arrows  <--- image --->  (from the center out).

I would like to make this happen. Any ideas?
