Can't add code snippets to Triggers panel

Hi all, I'm in Edge Animate CC 2014.1 and I'm unable to add code snippets to the Triggers panel. When I click on of the buttons, such as "Replay", the code appears in the panel, but dimmed. I hit Return, but no change. Would anyone be able to tell me what I might be doing wrong? Thank you for any suggestions.I'm on a MacBook Pro (late 2010) running Mac OS X 10.8.5
