I'm really liking this animated SVG event map, but with a lack of SVG knowledge, it would be great to be able to make something similar in Edge Animate.

I'd imagine using a mask would be the way to make it 'reveal' but then to continuously animate around the route I'm a bit stuck with.
Any hints on how this could best be approached?
