Why does an element become shrinked when converted to symbol?

Good afternoon!

In some versions of Adobe Edge Animate 5, why does the contents shrink and become overpositioned when converted to symbols?

Here is an example:

The composition of each figure was the same (several petals, to form a flower) and both, each at a time, were converted to a symbol.

At the left, a symbol was created and its dimensions did not change.

But at the right, the same composition, in other version of Edge Animate 5, became shrink and petals are overpositioned.

Why did this happen? How to solve this?
