Hi. I'm now creating banner ads in Edge rather than Flash so they can be seen on ipads etc. I also need to upload these banners to websites via an ad server (Xaxis for publishers). It only accepts jpegs, gifs or swf files at present so I can't work out how to get Edge interactive animations uploaded. Any ideas anyone? Thanks

Two elements overlap each other, both elements will need to fire when I click on the top element
Hello,
Maybe a stupid question. But when two elements (div) overlap each other. Both have a click function on it.
Is it possible when I click on the top element, both elements will start.
Now when I click on it, only the element who is on top will fire.
And if I set pointer-events to "none" on the top element, the element who is below will fire.
If this is possible can somebody tell me the right code.

Problems with AI SVG file disappearing
I was wondering if anyone can help with a problem I'm having when using Illustrator SVG files in Edge Animate.
When I resize the image it will disappear and sometimes come back. The contents are still there when you view them in a web browser, but when I'm trying to layout text or other items in Edge Animate it's rather difficult since I can't see the contents of the file on my screen.
And does this have anything to do with the message: "SVG files require proper web server MIME-type configuration" ??

Edge Animate - Mismatched braces
Hi There
I was creating an animation to go into a clients webpage and all was good until I noticed a little red cross at the bottom of the screen.
When I clicked on it I got this message.
Syntax error at line 158: Mismatched Braces
A strange thing just above where the line where a red dot is indicating the syntax error, there is a block of code mentioning an //Edge symbol: 'home_button'
which I have deleted from the elements panel.
Now the animation outputs browser but totally ignores my Triggers to stop the animation playing.
I've looked at the code and have no idea what's wrong, actually not sure what to look for.
Can anyone help? I'm happy to send any or all the files for someone to help me.

trigger EA button in Muse on scroll
hi guys!
i'm trying to trigger an EA button animation in Muse upon any scroll input, but i'm still lost even after going here n there.
seems like a straightforward thing but i'm really lousy at code, so i stabbed in the dark n tried random(semi-educated) variations of
window.parent.$("html, body").animate({ scrollTop: "3414px" },1000);
since it seemed to be doing a good job tying my EA button to my Muse anchor point.
would greatly appreciate any help!

Resizing a symbol
Hi,
Is there any way to resize a symbol?
Basically I have a symbol that used to have 4 images in it and not it has 3. The image I got rid of was the largest one and the symbol sized to that.
Now that I've removed it I need to resize the symbol because its getting in the way of other symbols that need to be clicked.
When I resize the symbol it squashes the images inside it.
Can anyone help with this issue?

Is there a better way to deal with Edge Animate CC's library management?
I haven't been using Edge Animate CC for very long, but I already have a huge list of complaints. Although I could go into detail about features that seem to be missing from my version of Edge (just a quick example, all of the tutorials I've seen have a quick code insert feature on the right side of the code dialog box that my version doesn't seem to have, or even have the option for turning on), right now I want to focus on Edge's HORRENDOUS LIBRARY MANAGEMENT.
So I created the following animation which I have put into an iframe:
The issue I had on the first draft of this project was that I (perhaps naively) thought that there would be an option to actually re-size the pictures on export. There wasn't, and so my original version was really, really large, took way too long to load, and needed to be updated. For the second version, I reduced the size of the pictures and made them JPEG files (some of the originals were - quite unnecessarily - large PNG files) and reduced the quality so that they were all under 10KB. Of course, I had to rename the files and re-import them to Edge's library. This is where my problems started.
You see, edge will put the files into a folder marked "images" when you publish them in a folder, so I just assumed (NOT UNREASONABLY) that the resulting animation would pull from the images folder. It worked fine in the preview, so I pushed it via FTP, only to find that all of the original files (which were not in the new animation) were pushed to the new "images" folder. The only library management that you get in Edge is apparently looking for the file in the folder you designate as the "Library" folder, so deleting these images out of the "Images" folder makes not one bit of difference. That should have been my first clue that something was rotten in Denmark, to use a Shakespearean metaphor. After removing these files and publishing my banner again, suddenly the new images weren't showing up. They were clearly in the "images" folder on the FTP server, but they weren't showing up in the animation. So I inspected the banner on the site, only to find that rather than point to the images folder, they are in fact pointing to the library folder. WHY DO THE PUBLISHED IMAGES POINT TO THE "LIBRARY" FOLDER THEY WERE PULLED FROM INSTEAD OF THE "IMAGES" FOLDER THAT THEY'RE PUBLISHED TO? I added a new file tree that mimicked the folder structure and put the images in a mock "library folder" and now the animation works again.
The library management in this program is just plain awful (I can't stress this enough), making it a chore for experienced users and a red-hot rage-keyboard-pounding mess for everyone else. And the worst part, there doesn't seem to be any explanation from Adobe on why it is this way.
I am really not looking forward to the next time I have to use this program at work.

How do I create a single html file from animate to use on a service like Doublclick by google? They require a single html file.
Does anyone know how to create a single html file out of Animate (or afterwards)for uploading to a service like Doubleclick by Google? They require a single html file, not a folder which is what animate creates. Seems like this shouldn't be so difficult.

Edge Animate causing Server Time Out Error and other problems
Site is not verifying due to Server Time Out error. Also menu which was created with Adobe Edge Animate does not show up as navigation in a site map or when bots read the site. Site won't verify or index in google.
Suggestions on how to fix this would be helpful and appreciated.

When I save an Edge Animate project, all my objects disappear from view on the Canvas
When I save an Animate project (File-->Save), all the objects on the stage disappear from view. The outlines of the objects still appear when I click on them but the "content" of the object is invisible. It's as if the opacity is set to zero upon save.
And, it doesn't matter whether I'm using the opacity atrribute or not . . .
Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong? Is there some preference or configuration setting I need to toggle?

Edge Animate page blank when uploaded to server
Hi everyone,
I am having issues with just one page I've created in EA. It was working fine on the server until I changed something (and sadly didn't save another version!) and now it seems to upload to the server just fine, but is completely blank. The title tag of the page shows up but the page is completely white (The pACT Project | The Food pACT). I happened after I added parallax scrolling code from edge commons. I undid everything to get it back to the original version, yet still remains blank in the browser. It works fine in tests. Totally at a loss for what to do. Help is much appreciated!

Images aren't appearing on Adobe Edge
I'm on Adobe Edge, and my images aren't showing up when I drag them to the stage. I've worked on this project earlier, but even images that already on the stage won't show up again if I drag it over again. What's going on? Any help? Only a little blue dot appears. I've tried .svg and .png images.

Vimeo video
Hi,
I use this code to embed a Vimeo video into edge. It is a test so to see what is the best way to put videos on line.

"Unsupported path(s):/crossdomain.xml" Error message won't stop popping up.
It started a couple of weeks ago, then the 2014 update made it go away, but now it's back. Basically, every ten seconds this error message pops and you have to cancel it and keep working, which you can't really because the workflow is completely interrupted.
I would appreciate any advice.
