Rollover audio in Edge Animate
I have created a rollover button which I've imported to Muse. The idea is that the button has an image of thunder which flashes when you rollover with the mouse and there is an audio of thunder over it.
At the moment as planned when I mouseover the audio sounds and the image animates too. Again, as planned the audio and animation stop when the mouse leaves.
BUT then when I mouseover again the image animates, but the audio doesn't work.
How can I make the audio happen every time I mouseover?
(I am a complete Edge animate novice, but am feeling very smug that I have got this far!)

Create New gives an error "Could not find the user document directory"

Edge Animate large project video import bug
I'm working on a large project in Edge Animate that will (hopefully) become a full website with lots of video assets. The videos are various samples of work - not visible until they're selected by various links throughout the site.
I've already built much of the site and imported numerous videos and everything works, but lately when I import video, it comes in at the wrong frame size and aspect ratio. It's happening even if I re-import video files that were already successfully imported. If I create a new project and import video into it, the video comes in at the proper size and aspect ratio. I've tried restarting the computer, recompressing the video, and deleting Edge Animate preferences, but these don't resolve the issue.
I'm using the latest version of Edge Animate CC 2014 (2014.0.1). Here are my system specs:
OS: Windows 8 Pro (fully updated)
Processor: Intel Core i7-3930 3.2Ghz
Ram: 64Gb
Video Card: NVidia GeForce GTX680
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

compatibility with mac os Yosemity
I know I should have investigated this question before I upgraded to Mac OX Yosemity, but does anyone know if there are issues with Edge Animate CC 2014.1?

Tons of errors with 2014.1 running on OS X Yosemite
Finding that Edge Animate CC 2014.1 is freezing within 5-10 minutes of use. Telling me to save work and restart every 5-10 minutes as well (I do anyway!)
-creates corrupt JS files that my server won't let me upload.
-crashes MacBook Pro 2013 with Yosemite
-when loading symbols it says JavaScript is corrupt
Any sight of an update soon to address Yosemite compatibility?

Is it a bug of 2014.1 ?
With previous versions this code worked for rendering dynamic data.

On 2014.1 version it is rendering only the last data of the JSON file.
I tried also with getChildSymbols with no luck.
Does someone know why is this happening?

Just opened new Adoge Edge v 2014.1, when I publish a simple test file, I get error code, reads "Unsupported path(s): /apple-touch-icon-precompressed.png, /apple-touch-icon.png, " I did not use any images in my test file. Am I missing anything?

Error message at adobe edge start-up.
I get an error message when i open or create a new project. I've looked on the internet for a solution but I couldn't find one that has my error in it. I've included the message below, as you can see I've barely done anything in the new file except import the images, which have disappeared from the library as well. I just bought the full version for a month and haven't had the opportunity to use this program because of this error. I'm using windows 7 (64bits) 4gigabyte RAM memory with an Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8400 @3.00GHz.
Any help would be appreciated.

How to centre element on stage?
Hi community!
i'm having trouble trying to centre an animation on my stage. The "centre stage" function centres my stage relative to the browser window but i'd like my element to be centred within the stage. I eventually intend to export this as oam for my muse site.
Here's the files if anyone would like to take a crack at it. It's basically a collage of buttons. I currently have them all individually animated to a fixed position, but wat i'd really like is for the buttons to animate to the centre of the stage from their respective positions every time. I found some js/jq/css(?) here, here n here but i've no idea how to fit it in.
Also, i'm not sure if centering the animation would create new problems when the user scrolls the stage while the button is still active, ie will the reverse animation still return the button to its original position?

adobe edge animate an error occurred please save your work after 2014.1 upgrade. Is it worth it?
I have just upgraded to Edge Animate 2014.1 and tried to open up an existing file. I get the following message "an error occurred please save your work and restart Edge Animate". I have looked at some posts about this and it seems the general consensus is that I should go back to the CC version and work on the file from there. Is it worth trying to work out the problem with the new version and try 'somehow' to get it to open as per some other suggestions relating a post like this or should I be going back to Edge CC. I am a very basic coder and thought the new version may be a little easier to work with.

Edge animate crashing while saving...
Edge animate always fails while saving one of my projects. I tried it in different systems but still the same issue. Does edge have a limit in no of symbols??? because i have about 100 symbols.... can you provide me with a patch or something for this issue. Please reply ASAP. I am attaching the project here..

Take a look at the topic-list. People are having serious problems, including myself.
Yesterday i was working fine, but suddenly, when opening an older project, my Edge startede showing error-messages.
I've tried to unn- and reinstall but nothing works.
I suggest the staff to try to solve the problem instead of just telling-'my version is fine'.
Edge is not a new software anymore, get it fixed...

Edge Animate, create "Next" and "Back" buttons that play from current position
Hey Everyone,
I'm trying to do something fairly simple but I could use some help in getting it to work and couldn't find any examples out there of this... here's all i'm trying to do.
I have animations along a timeline with labels and stop points for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. I want to create simple "Back" and "Next" buttons that will get your current label/position and play forwards or backwards to the next or previous label/position. My attempt to show what It looks like logically in text:
Back 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 Next
And that's it, I know someone must have already done this or knows how, any help would be greatly appreciated

Adobe Edge CC 2014.1 bugs!!!
Looks like 2014.1 has some bugs that weren't there before (well not for me anyhow).
When I adjust the order of layers in the Element panel or go to delete certain keyframes I'm getting these errors (which is very frustrating)...

Searching a way to create Physics Simulations in Edge Animate
Is there any way to create a physics environment with Edge Animate composition, like gravity or collusion sought of effects. I had gone through few JS available in web like physics.js , matter.js but i am not able to rectify a nicer way to execute the simulations in my compositions.
can anyone please guide me in this.

Can I Hide Symbols/Elements with Media Queries?
So I have a animated menu that is for mobile only, but I can't seem to hide it on the desktop version of the site.
I tried my CSS media queries and checked the edge ID's for the divs created. But when making them "visibility: hidden" in CSS desktop style sheet it produced an error or didn't work at all.

(I had also tried creating the elements in CSS first, and then animating them. However, I couldn't create a symbol to control the animation.)
Is there a tutorial I may have skipped over that shows me how to do this? Thanks for your time this forum has been a big help on finding info.

Problems loading JSON into Edge Animate
Why when I load a JSON file do I get this problem.
Inside the JSON File there is one object that needs to carry longer a longer text string that is going to be loaded into animate. The loading is fine, everything is connecting correctly, the problem is the json file.
The following are two identical json blocks of code. I ran these as tests. The first test loads fine. The second doesn't. Note the last line "biography" which is supposed to carry a lot of text and won't load. Any ideas? Is this like in xml where you have to add some syntax for longer paragraphs?
