Different fading in chrome than Mozilla

When I embed my animation and look at it in Mozilla or IE9+, it looks fine (see screencast of it here: http://screencast.com/t/AIdKvbiUi)

But when I check it out in Chrome, some of the characters fade in the middle of it, many don't change colors as they are supposed to and I can't figure out why this would be happening. Here's a screencast of the problem in chrome: http://screencast.com/t/kBSxmYGwb
