I made this lsite http://www.fxbandits.com in muse and edge. I initally had the animation 20 seconds long but it loaded in like 2 minutes I cut it down to 5 seconds but on some computers it is still way too long. Is there a way to speed this up any suggestions?

Edge animate javascript error
Ever since I installed Creative Cloud Edge Animate on my work computer, I am having troubles with the javascript coding on my edge animate files. Both yesterday and today when working on an animation project, the file crashed when I zoomed in on the stage (not altering the animation at all at this point) and won't reopen. When I try to restart Edge Animate and reopen the animation file, I get a javascript error and the animation won't load. I've tried opening the project on a coworker's computer with Edge Animate and it fails to open. It seems that the either the file is corrupt or somehow, some way, a zoom function has changed the javascript code.
I have done all the basic troubleshooting steps — rebooting the machine, restarting creative cloud, etc. I have narrowed down the error in the code through the Chrome javascript console, but I'm not really familiar with javascript so I'm pretty lost at this point. The error I get in Chrome says "the node to be removed is not a child of this node."
Once again, the file crashed and refused to re-open after simply zooming in on the stage, so I'm not sure why this would have altered the code.

Help, having trouble actioning symbol to play in edge animate?
Sorry this is probably a very basic question and even so I'm having trouble getting a symbol to play when I click on some text. I have a 'Location Map' link which essentially acts as a button to open up a location map of the business. The location map is a symbol as I want it to fade in when the button is pressed and fade out when I close it. I have managed to get this type of function to work when I had the location map placed on the main timeline and used a label to do this, but now I would like to have the map as a symbol.
So on the 'location map' link/button the action reads:
sym.getSymbol("location").play("in");
The "in" refers to a label within the symbol timeline. I have also tried to remove the label and simply have:
sym.getSymbol("location").play();
These are instructions I have followed from a number of tutorials, however I must be missing something because neither of these codes do anything when I click on the link.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Currently i was using this trick to prevent my touch scroll to stops as soon as my finger leaves the screen : Vertical Scroll in symbol div on IOS
But in the new version of Edge Animate there is no more access to the CSS Style on the yourfilename_Edge.js file.
How can i use this useful trick in the new version of EA ?

Bounding box is totally off in Edge Animate CC
I am using the latest version of Edge Animate CC 2014.1 and having great problems with the bounding box. This occurs with all items regardless if they are imported or created internally.
Everything comes onto the screen with the bounding box off by 10 pixels for the "x" coordinate. If I try to use my arrow keys to jump an item to the left or right (a keyboard shortcut I use all the time) it jumps in the opposite direction. If I try to manually enter the x value it adds an additional 10 pixels to the value (for example entering the value of 10 return the value of 20.
I have solved this somewhat by making the relative position top right, but things are still publishing improperly and I can't align things properly.

Edge Animation won't scale to width and height parent div
We have an existing site that was built in 2007, but was designed to mesh perfectly with responsive css, there have been a few hiccups but this has by far been the biggest issue I have encountered. I am working on replacing a flash animation with an animation I made in edge animate cc 2014, and everything went lovely until I asked it to play nicely with my existing webpage.
I have been messing with my files for a few days now, and I was wondering if anyone else is having this issue. (I have been placing the code manually as html, not as an .oam) It seems that my edge animation, on the responsive settings available, insists on scaling to the size of the view port rather than the size of the parent div I have placed it in. I've come up with one rough fix which modifies the javascript so that the animation shows up at 90% of the viewport, but as soon as you resize the window it goes back to 100%. Which is bothersome because I need it to be at 90% with a 5% margin/padding on each side (which is what the content div is set at anyway, so when the edge animate is set to width 100% it should only go to 100% width of the content div that it is in) and even more bothersome because that doesn't even begin to solve my problems with the desktop version of the site. As much as I love the sarcastic musings of my friend in IT during the afternoons, I think we are both ready to abandon this aspect of the project entirely.
When I tried importing it as a media file .oam it just doesn't show up at all, no code, no javascrip, nothing shows up past the parent div and the empty stage in the developer tools (I check the code for troubleshooting purposes through google chrome).
I really am at the point where I am hoping that I just did something terribly wrong and I will be able to salvage this new way to add in animation. That would be the best case scenario at this point.

I am really in need of a release to fix the scrolling issues etc.. Is there any estimate for the next release? You know it IS broken and we are paying for a product which doesn't work.

Can I create an annotated video in Edge?
I'm researching a potential project. Client wants to do a stand-alone annotated video (not for YouTube). You would see items in a kitchen and be able to click on them, like the toaster, and it would send you to the part of the video that shows you how to use a toaster (made-up example). Probably shouldn't be done in Flash because of playback on Apple devices. Is Edge Animate the program I should consider for this? or is there something else??

How to increase visibility of palettes?
Is it possible to enlarge the labels in the palettes? I'm not talking about enlarging the stage or making the palette windows larger, I know how to do that. I'm talking about improving the visibility of the buttons and labels in the work space itself. The type used on the palettes in the Adobe Edge Animate program is SO small that I'm having to lean way in to my monitor. I don't have this problem in AI or PS. Couldn't have anything to do with aging eyes. ;-) Any ideas?

(Video included) Animation plays fine in Edge but objects are out of place on export
So my animation looks fine in edge as you can see but on export and looking in browser the arm becomes detached.
Any way to fix this? I have a project due and really need to get this fixed

Browser Rendering Oddities, Symbols disappearing?
Hello folks, I was feeling great this morning having fixed (I thought) some issues with an animation (with previous help from this forum!) and successfully adding audio. The animation played fine in all browsers BEFORE I added the audio, but after:
- In Chrome, symbols are disappearing in the middle of the animation (the arrows on the right and top, the triangle inside the "Play Again" button, and text is flickering during playback;
- In IE, the animation freezes for a long time after initially clicking play.
- In Firefox and Safari things seem to work fine (but Firefox is turning my dotted lines into solid).
The most confusing part is that after I removed the audio to troubleshoot, the problems are STILL there. Not sure how I broke this. (BTW, it plays fine in browser preview from Edge Animate.)

scale fullscreen?
I'm attempting to create a simple composition containing a fullscreen background image, and several buttons centered on the stage. I'd like for this composition to scale for view on different devices. I've been working with Sarah Hunt's example code from here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5219196#5219196
It's very close to what I'm looking for, except I'd like for the compostion to be fullscreen, rather than having white space underneath. Any thoughts on how to best accomplish this would be greatly appreciated.

library locked
Anyone know why I can't import images into the library for a simple project I've been working on. I have about 10 images imported. I published the project yesterday, now I need to edit it, but I can't bring in new images. I get no meessages, the library panel flashes as if something happens, but the file isn't there.
If I start a new project I can import.
Is this a "feature"? that one you publish a project you can't edit it?

Slow and Bumpy animations
Hi,
I made an interactive animation with PNG graphics using Animate v4. It works OK in the computer. On the iPad, the performance is still far from perfect.
Path animations go slow and bumpy. Buttons with Play() or Stop() interactions got some delay... even simple rotations become lagged, slow, bumpy...
Anyone knows any way to speed up Animate performance?? What is your experience?

DIVS and Symbols
Hi,
I need some help here.
I began a project with Edge version 4.0.1
I decided to upgrade to the new version because it is quite a big project and I was just at the first few pages.
On this project I have buttons inside Symbols to keep then together in a block, so it adapts better to different display sizes without overlapping.
Well, it happens that none of these buttons works in the new version. I ve been trying to understand for the last 2 days and today I found out that if I group these buttons on a DIV, out of their “host symbol” it works.
Why is that so ? Timeline ?
