Exporting in a different format other than HTML?

Hello.  I made an animation in Adobe Edge Animate CC Pro and I can play it on my computer just fine with the .HTML document.  Just when I tried to post it to Facebook to show everyone it wasn't one of the supported file types. Ok np it's just facebook.  I recently started up my Creative Cloud online storage and when I tried uploading just the .HTML file it wouldn't play, yet images show up just fine on my CC file storage.  You would think this .HTML would be easy to open in any browser, is there anyway to export these animations I make as GIF's? Why would the HTML file not play on the Cloud server? Do I need to have the whole project saved to the drive anywhere I go for it to play in its .HTML format?

Guides not deleted when brought back to ruler

Hi, a bit of a bug here.

When I drag a guide back to the ruler, out of view, with the intention to discard it, it's still there, at a measurement right underneath the ruler. So when I pan or zoom my stage out, I can still see it. However, I can't grab it anymore, and when I save, close, and re-open the file, the guide is properly gone, eventually.

I work with Animate 2014.1 on a Mac with Yosemite.

Opening old files on read-only volumes

I do a lot of demos and presentations with (and about) Adobe Edge Animate, and discovered a flaw when opening files made by older versions, and stored on read-only media (like a remote public volume or folder). The file will open but Animate tries to "upgrade" it by immediately storing a (temporary) copy in the same location. This obviously won't work on locked or read-only media, so the application prompts there's a problem and the file cannot be used.

 

Of course I can simply copy the whole folder to my desktop or another location which is write-enableb. But maybe this could be dealt with in a more elegant manner ?

Unsupported paths???

When I try to have Edge Animate open an existing HTML webpage, it “sees” all of the images that are there but two. I am getting this error message: Unsupported path(s): /Volumes/Storage/Site FolderE/Resources/m5a.jpeg, /Volumes/Storage/Site FolderE/Resources/m16.gif

 

All of the other images are located in the same folder and are showing up in Edge. My web editing program, Freeway Pro 6 has no problem in finding and showing these files. I can see them physically being there. I have tried and tried to somehow load these into the two places where Edge is showing them as missing files. Right beside the ? missing image is another image that is being found and shown correctly, so this is difficult for me to figure out.

 

Can someone give any advice on this please?

Layer disappeared from timeline

I'm creating some banners with Edge Animate for the first time.

 

I started with the biggest one, now I need to create some more downscaled versions.
Clearly the easiest and fastes way is to duplicate the edge project and modify the layers size position etc...

 

Duplicating the project folder and changing the file name didn't work for me (gave error "edge can't read the html file"), so I managed to do it with "save as" and changing the "project1.an" name to a new one in a clean folder. When opened, Edge creates all the assets referencing the new name.

 

Everything  ok until here, but then I noticed that the top layer "link" (it was a hidden clickable div with the banner link) has disappeared from timeline, but it's still present in the "elements" tab.

The link was still working, then after a couple of cmd+return it disappeared also from the stage.
I created a new rectangular div with the tool, but the new one is also not present in the timeline but only in the "elements" tab.

 

Now I'm worried that this could cause problems on publishing or future edits. Am I doing something wrong?

I know I should have investigated this question before I upgraded to Mac OX Yosemity, but does anyone know if there are issues with Edge Animate CC 2014.1?

I'm experiencing some very weird behaviors.

Scroll bar disappears on Publish

In the latest version of Edge Animate (October 2014), I see the scroll bars when I apply 'Auto' to a symbol, but when I publish, the scroll bars disappear.

 

Any advice?

Edge Animate: Create project from deployed system

Is there any way to create a project from a deployed system?

The reason I am asking this is because in my development environment I am getting an Adobe Edge exception An Error occurred please save you file.

The problem is that this exception occurs when trying to save the file.

 

Or is there anyway to fix this issue?

 

Really need some help with is.

Hallo, we have problems by the language to Adobe Edge Animate....everything is in german instead og English. We have tryed to change the laguage to English, restarted and still only the first menu is in english and the rest remains in german. If we change

I have a problem with the audio playback .

I have a problem with the audio playback .

I have two animations structurally identical.

If I view with safari okay, if I see with chorme for mac the first works, the second the audio does not start by itself, but only when I pause the animation ! !

 

Where am I wrong?

Animation jumps to button keyframe on rollover

I have what I hope is a basic question. When I view my animation in browser, it plays fine, but if I rollover the animation (with the mouse) at any point while it is playing, it jumps to the keyframe where I have a button set up. I'm hoping that this is a simple action that I am forgetting to set? Any help is appreciated! Thanks,

Hello,

 

I have a big problem.

Like in the title .oam daesnt work with DPS she export with .ipa on ipad 2 mini with i0S 8.1

Of course It's working well on i0S 7 !

When I want to update my Apps they are reject by Apple.

And the old version don't work very well on iOs 8.1.

 

When I export my .ipa I have empty screen when I want to see my Apps on the iPad.

On the forum in DPS they don't know, and I have no news.

How to style from external stylesheet

Hi

 

I have a project where i want to position some dynamically created symbols via their classes.

I can change the vissibility and the background color of the symbols, but when i try to set the margin, nothing happens.

 

Are there anybody who are familiar with this?

Animation not allways starting

I'm creating five animated greeting cards with edge animate. Often the animation never starts and all the user gets is the preloader (very often on iphone/ipads):

 

Eid: Untitled

China (heavy weight): Untitled

 

I havent seen any js errors in my dev tool console. Does anyone have an idea why the animation (sometimes) is not starting?

greensock scrolling div

Hello, I am looking for a way to scroll my Stage with Greensock

my code work when I use .animate methode

with

    TweenMax.to(window, 3, {scrollTo:{y:300}}); // not working

or

     TweenMax.to($(window), 3, {scrollTo:{y:300}}); // not working

 

any solution ?

And with a Yoyo action it would be fantastic !!

Edge OAM audio playback issues with Adobe DPS

Hi,

 

Previous to the CC 2014.1 update, Edge OAM animations placed into my Adobe DPS folios worked and interacted fine. E.g. I had animation build and then on 'tap' elements would animate and playback audio to reflect the movement. Since updating to the 2014.1 version, any newly created OAM files placed into Adobe DPS, the audio does not work.

 

Please can you advise on this issue. If there is no fix, can I get access to the previous version of Edge as it is vital I regain this function.
