What is the syntax for retrieving the name of the symbol that has been clicked on? So far, no go:
$sym.symbolName
$sym.name
$sym.getAttribute("name");
e.target.name
e.target.symbolName
I can get e.target.id fine, but it's a mixture of Edge generated identifiers and my symbol name.
I have used an excellent slider script from Sarah Justine in my project. This works well on my iMac and on my iPad. However, I also need it to work on android mobiles and Kindle Fire. It doesn't (at least it doesn't on my Sony Xperia Z1 and my Kindle Fire). Can somebody help with this problem please?

Why are the svg-files blurred in AN when I scale stage? They looks like pixel graphics.
1. SVG
When i add SVG file 385x225 px and set position x1y1 it looks like Image 385x225 but transform scale = 10%
In index.edge.js it's look like:

So. File placed like 3850x2250 px looks like 385x225 and if i want to ad same Filters it's works incorrect.
2. Responsive Scaling
As an example we take the size of the document to be 800x600
if the browser window is more than 800x600 (1024x768) then Responsive Scaling works fine
if the height or width greater than 800x600 (640x768 or1024x480) Responsive Scaling works properly
if if the browser window smaller than 800x600 (640x480), we see the white margins around the document
if we manually resize the browser window while the responsa scaling dynamically changes the size of the document and make it right, even if we made the window size of 640x480...
but as soon as we update the page leaving a window size of 640x480 you will see the white margins around documents again
Because the browser delays my audio file, I would like to also delay the animation so as to sync both. Is there a way to do that?
The transition from Flash to Edge Animate seems pretty straightforward from a coding/user perspective. I have not been able to find a solid answer on how to publish a banner ad, say a 728x90 leaderboard and deliver to a vendor. I need to know:
1. Which files to deliver
2. How do you structure the links for the .js files (absolute, root relative etc)
3. How to add a clickTAG link that the vendor will populate the actual link into.

Strang thing with Edge Animate in Chrome on a Mac or PC. You can not reload it. It plays the first time you go to site, but if you hit refresh or try going back to the page, it will not relaod. I have to delete the cache in order for it to Play again.
Can't seem to figure this one out, I am sure it's something simple I am missing.
Basically I want to rotate text around a center pivot (in a circular motion) while maintaining the text's horizontal orientation. So that at all points the text is legible, but is able to rotate smoothly. Currently using motion paths, and they are just too linear to keep the smooth rotation I would like.

EDIT: Upon further thought, would it be possible to attach the text as a child to an invisible parent and have the parent rotate around the pivot point. While the text maintains it's orientation but rotates along the path with the parent. Just not sure how to do this.

Hello every body, I very need your help. I make composition in Edge Animate with resolution 2300*1914 adjust the responsive scaling to both, after saving I look the composition in browsers. In the Chrome and Opera displaying is correct, but in IE and Firefox displays not correct, I fill the stage in red color, so when I open the composition, the filled stage take proportions 100% - width and height, but resolution 2300*1914 applies like transparent layer, and I have overflow horizontal and vertical.
P.S. I need scaling in persentage because the composition is designed for all resolution

I am having an issue with an Adobe Edge animation that I am making for a client - I am fairly new to Edge so this may be an easy fix!
There is an SVG named chassis (Looks like a brown tadpole) that halfway through the animation - disappears and then glitches the webpage by drawing a white background that overlaps everything...
I have set the background in Edge to transparent so I don't know why this is happening, even in the 'Preview in browser' option it happens.

I have done my whole website with Edge Animate. I have 5 pages or 5 compositions that I would like to link with one another. One is called "index", the other one is "about", the other "contact", etc, etc. I have tried the code <<<< window.open("index.html", "_self"); >>>> but it is not working for me. I guess I am doing something wrong with my files and folders in my computer. Each composition or page has a folder in my computer, and in this folder are all the files made by Edge Animate for that particular composition.
Can anybody explain me how to link these pages or compositions or projects?
I guess my question is extremely obvious and easy because I can't find any answer in Google or here in this forum. I am new with Edge Animate.

Is there a way to swap out an Edge composition for a static image when the viewport is at a certain size?
If I'm using the new interactive code editor and I select:
PlayBack --> Play From --> SomeSymbol -->
...in the next right-most panel I am presented with a list of the symbols on the Stage of SomeSymbol, which is helpful, but this implementation is incomplete as it does not include the TIMELINE LABELS I've created for various points on the main timeline for SomeSymbol. The auto-generated code comments know this, as they read:
// Play the timeline at a label or specific time. For example:
// sym.play(500); or sym.play("myLabel")
;-)
I hope a not-too-distant release will make our timeline labels, in any symbol at all levels of a composition, available to us in the interactive code editor. Thank you!

I am trying to learn parallax scrolling in Adobe Edge. I just started a few weeks ago, and am beginning the process of teaching myself. I was trained in Adobe Flash, but I am really interested in learning Edge. I'm currently trying to animate an infographic—so I need to have different elements appear as you scroll down in the browser.
How can I anchor the title banner graphic at the top of the browser, so that all content has the parallax scrolling effect EXCEPT the top title banner? Is there a code I can use to make the banner graphic somehow exempt from the parallax scrolling code?
Every time I try to find the answer on either google or these forums, I keep coming up with Adobe Muse answers. Any help you could provide would be great.

but I don't really understand everything that's happening code wise.
Using this as is sets the scrubber at the top of the bar and when you drag down, the timeline plays from start to end, if you drag up it plays in reverse.
I want the timeline to do the opposite, so the scrubber starts at the bottom and the timeline plays forwards when dragged upwards.
Can anyone help point me to the code that needs changing?

I have created an animation from an original design for our site and all works fine... except... I am using key-frames to animate the opacity of some text and not all browsers seem to like this. I have a second animation which rotates the main symbol and this rotation again is not recognised by older browsers. Fortunately on both of these projects it is not the end of the world, however, I would love to learn how to make a fall-back. A standard fall-back to a poster is one thing - but what of the browsers which render the Edge animation but not utilise all the animated features? Are there ways to allow me to read the browser compatibility and direct to an alternate animation or simpler gif for instance?

Hi. I want to open an iframe, inside the animation (and after clicking on a button), to load a captivate file (a swf).
I want to avoid the need to load the swf file since the beginning, so, I belive the iframe with the swf embeded is the best option. No?
